Frankie Kelly - Men's Lacrosse

This week's UNC I am Second spotlight features a student-athlete who comes from a family that lives lacrosse and bleeds tar heel blue. Frankie Kelly, a sophomore business major and midfielder for the heels, is the nephew of two former tar heel lacrosse players. His father, Frank Kelly, played lacrosse at Cornell, his cousin David currently plays at Rutgers, and his cousin Pat will be a tar heel in the fall. In two years, there will be two Kelly brothers side by side on the field, as younger brother Stephen is commited to UNC. Not only is Frankie valued for his face off skills, but he is also an encourager and a strong leader for his team. His favorite thing about being a tar heel lacrosse player is the platform it gives him to influence the incredible group of guys on his team. However, he doesn't stop there. Kelly greatly influences each person he interacts with at Carolina. Beyond his team, he is part of the Carolina Leadership Academy and is also on the leadership team with Athletes in Action. His story is not one of blatant disobedience or rebellion but about the heart behind obeying the Lord and yearning to follow Christ. We hope you enjoy his video testimony below!
